Our new modern timber design table

Introducing the new V base table one of our newest models to our extensive range of timber tables.

I just love the modern look of this solid timber table.

The messmate has been given a very light stain to enhance the grain.

One of over 30 table on display in our timber showroom.

Historic Blackwood Table

This week we had a unique project to complete which was to re furbish an 80 year old Blackwood table.

The table is full of history as it used to reside within the Collingwood town hall. The timbers run across the table top which is unusual and the thickness of the top is 45mm thick.

The blackwood table has some gorgeous grains and textures.

The top of the table has been fully refinished and re assembled as there were gaps in the boards and lots of marks scratches and dents.

The top is now beautiful and new again and good for another 100 odd years.

Would love to have this one in my own home.

Restaurant Tables

I was contacted by the Lobster Cave Restaurant Beaumaris about making a Custom table for their VIP corner the “Legends Club”

The brief was simple from Bill Ferg, the table must have a WOW factor.

The Lobster Cave already had a beautiful 10ft Antique table which they had had, for many years. So I proposed that we use the antique table as inspiration and incorporate some of the design ques into the new Legends table so it all tied together.

Legends TableI designed the table and made the timber selections and we completed and installed a beautiful 1500mm square table with inlay top and hand turned pedestal.

The timbers used are Redgum, American Oak, Blackwood and Ash.

The result was spectacular and lead to a bigger project which I recently completed by crafting another 32 tables for Bill Ferg.

In this part of the project we carefully measured the room and the normal placement of the tables. We made slight alterations to the 32 table sizes to increase the walkways in the room whilst maintaining the ability to alter the room by putting tables together for larger group bookings.

The 32 tables incorporated the same design elements of the legends table and the Antique table so the whole room now has a unique signature of stunning timber tables.

So next time you dine at the Lobster Cave you will be dining in style on one of my tables. Enjoy.
